Identifying what you wish to focus on improving will mean that we can get the right plan put together for you. If you are unsure what you wish to work on, I can put together an initial plan that can then be adapted after the initial 3 sessions.
Working together with the player and parent, we can decide what goals they wish to achieve within the sessions. These will be achievable and progressive milestones that can be adapted to help be more challenging.
After consultation, each player will be given a personalized plan for an initial 3 week period. This will allow both player and coach to work on the goals and aim towards milestones before deciding if something needs to change.
Skills is much more than just dribbling or doing a trick with a ball. There are many more other skills that players can master within 1-1 sessions that can then be taken into matches.
1-1 coaching sessions allows the coach to work specifically with a player on what they need to develop and in an environment where the focus is only on that player, something we cannot do usually in group settings. Learning new skills and getting it right is a great way of boosting confidence in a player.
1-1 sessions build up skills from an unopposed scenario to fully opposed with a defender to apply pressure, allowing a player to then put what they have learnt into a game like situation, which helps them develop their football intelligence on how, where, when to apply these skills.
